The animation is good for two things: seeing when the daily peak arrives where you are, and comparing north with south at a glance. In summer the gap between the Guadalquivir valley and the Cantabrian coast passes fifteen degrees by mid-afternoon; in winter it reverses and the inland plateaus are the ones that stay cold overnight.
